Who is behind Signals Dance?
Dance is built by Signals, a Prague-based team of data experts with 8+ years of industry experience. Having served 50+ clients across e-commerce, finance, and media, we’ve shipped over 200 data projects – from initial tracking audits to comprehensive BigQuery data warehouses.
Dance wasn't built in a vacuum; it was born from real client struggles. After engineering custom GA4 data models for dozens of brands, we packaged our best frameworks into a single, production-ready product. We are senior data engineers and analysts who work with BigQuery and GA4 daily.
Can I cancel anytime?
Absolutely. No long-term contracts, no strings attached, and zero cancellation fees. You pay month-to-month and can cancel at any moment. If you do cancel, your data stays exactly where it belongs – in your BigQuery. Dance never locks you in or holds your data hostage. Everything runs on your infrastructure, ensuring you maintain absolute ownership from day one.
technical fit
Do I need BigQuery knowledge?
Not at all. Dance works right out of the box – we take care of the entire setup, and you get a ready-to-use Data Studio dashboard on day one. You don’t have to write a single line of SQL to start getting real value from your data.
That said, if you or your team ever want to dig deeper, the data is fully accessible and yours to play with. Dance organizes raw GA4 exports into clean, well-documented tables (sessions, attribution, e-commerce). So when you do decide to run custom queries, you’re working with beautifully structured data – not the absolute nightmare that is the raw GA4 export format.
Does it work with my BI tool?
Absolutely. Dance comes with a Data Studio dashboard right out of the box, but since all your data lives in standard BigQuery tables, you can plug in any BI tool that supports BigQuery – whether it’s Tableau, Power BI, Metabase, or Superset.
The data model uses clean, intuitive naming conventions and is fully documented. Your analysts can start building custom reports instantly, without having to reverse-engineer a single thing.
Can I run custom SQL on top?
Absolutely. Your data lives inside your own BigQuery project, meaning you have full, unrestricted SQL access. Dance spins up beautifully structured output tables (cleaned events, sessions, attribution, and e-commerce metrics) that are built for direct querying.
Feel free to blend Dance tables with your CRM data, build custom views, power your ML models, or layer tools like dbt or Dataform right on top. There are zero restrictions – it’s your data, your BigQuery, your queries.
cost & Value
What’s included in the monthly fee?
The monthly fee covers everything you need to keep Dance running smoothly in production. You get continuous updates to the data model (as GA4 evolves, so does Dance), our plug-and-play Data Studio dashboard, support for multiple GA4 properties and datasets, and a direct line to our data team for questions and troubleshooting.
We also take care of ongoing compatibility. Whenever Google decides to tweak their BigQuery export schema (which happens way more often than you’d think), we update Dance immediately so your data pipelines never skip a beat.
What are the BigQuery costs?
BigQuery fees are billed directly by Google, not by us. For most Dance users, BigQuery costs amount to roughly €20/month – which easily covers storage and query processing for a typical mid-sized website.
High-traffic brands or intense reporting needs might push that number a bit higher, but BigQuery’s pay-as-you-go pricing ensures you only ever pay for what you actually use. During onboarding, we’ll analyze your GA4 data volume to project your exact costs and set up budget alerts so there are no surprises.
security & compliance
Where does my data go?
Absolutely nowhere. Dance runs entirely inside your own Google Cloud project. Raw GA4 data flows directly from Google Analytics into your BigQuery, and Dance processes it right there – in your environment, under your absolute control.
We never copy, transfer, or store a single byte of your data on our servers. You choose your data residency (EU, US, or any other GCP region), and your data never leaves that zone. On top of that, your existing GCP access controls, IAM policies, and audit logs apply automatically, just like with any other BigQuery dataset.
Is Signals Dance GDPR compliant?
Absolutely. Because Dance processes data exclusively within your own Google Cloud environment, there is zero third-party data transfer involved. Your data stays exactly in the GCP region you choose – if you select an EU data center, it never leaves the EU. There is absolutely no data sharing with Signals or any external party.
This zero-data-sharing architecture makes compliance a breeze. It is incredibly straightforward to include in your GDPR documentation and Data Processing Agreements, since Google (via BigQuery) remains your official data processor – not us.
